Lazlo’s Denver descendants, calling themselves The Hollyfelds, departed from the musical style of the 80’s film from where they took their name, and instead went for a more traditional sound. The Hollyfelds take classic country, rock, and pop, put it in a pot, add a touch of folk and bluegrass, and baby, they got a stew going. It is music that, as Westword magazine puts it, “splits the difference between alt-country and the genre''s mainstream,” and contains “just enough of the whiskey and heartache that makes great country music.”-HollyFelds Myspace
